Hiking in Lepidas Gorge
Activity Description
A route that had been used by the residents of the area for centuries, is this one that connects the traditional settlements of Agianni with Platanos.
Starting from Agianni heading to the Ksirokambi plateau and walking along the flowing waters, the visitors can see the great waterfalls, Lepida 45m high, Tsoulithra (Slides), and the imposing Melissi 70m high.
It is an area with a rich variety of landscapes, with relief terrain, colorful ponds, high cliffs, aromatic herbs, and plenty of waters among plane, pine, and chestnut trees, offering fresh scents and tranquility. The climate of the area favors the coexistence of such vegetation with a rich variety of herbs.
The route ends up to Platanos, a village built in plane trees, with traditional stone houses, cobbled alleys with ditches, and public taps with running water.
In the village, there is a guest house offering drinks and food and there are also two traditional cafeterias.
