Activity Description
Paragliding, also known as parapente by its international name Parapente, is the newest and simplest form of individual paragliding.
It is the flight using a special parachute and taking off from a slope at a height, exploiting the updrafts of the wind in front of the slope.
Its aerodynamic design, combined with the weight of the pilot, give the wing such flight characteristics that allow the pilot, taking advantage of the mountain air flow or the updrafts of the atmosphere, to make flights, short and close at first and later, when experience increases, long-haul long-distance flights.
At the end of the 90s, Paragliding was recognized by the Greek state as a sport and came under the umbrella of the General Secretariat of Sports through the Hellenic Air Sports Federation.
The equipment provided includes:
- the paragliding equipment
- the seat is equipped with a spare parachute
- the flight is carried out together by the pilot
- the helmet
You can choose alternative flight times from the mountain and enjoy the adrenaline rush to the fullest, guided by an experienced and certified pilot.
Important information:
- the flight takes place from a mountain in Kandili of Megara
- good physical condition is required
- small children with guardian approval
- possibility of transfer to the take-off point (over 20 km, upon consultation with an extra charge)
- all flights are weather dependent
