Activity Description

We depart, in the morning, by mini van from the metro station of Sepoli. We drive for about 45 minutes to the Vounmio area on the back side of the mountain range of Parnitha.

We leave the vehicles and start our hike among the pine trees and the kumarias. After almost an hour of hiking, we approach the impressive chapel of Ag. Marina by descending 40 steps. A beautiful chapel literally hanging on the rock, known as the Meteora of Parnitha. It was built about 800 years ago, in a spot with a breathtaking view and an incredible peace that offers every visitor. It is said that in the rock where the church was built the icon of St. Marina was found. We will stop there to have a snack and drink hot tea, which we have prepared.

We rest and enjoy the tranquility and the view offered by the spot. We climb the 40 steps and hike back to the original spot where we left the vehicles. At the end of our hike, we have a hearty picnic waiting for us and we return to Athens by road to the original departure point.

• Shoes suitable for hiking or sports boots, whichever suits you. Prefer boots with a thick sole and that hold the ankle.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation 7 days or more prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are automatically reimbursed for the full activity price.
Cancellation between 3 and 7 days prior to the agreed activity starting date. You are entitled to a 50% reimbursement.
Cancellation 3 days or later are what we call last-minute cancellations. No reimbursements will be effected.
